IŞIKKENT SCHOOL
Işıkkent School (IEK) was established in 1998 by Çimentaş Education and Health Foundation with the aim of donating a principled, student-oriented and model school, which incorporates both national and international values, to the Turkish Education System.
While taking the curricula approved by the Ministry of Education as a basis for its understanding of education, IEK places importance on applying international educational programmes. After gaining accreditation from the CIS (Council of International Schools), IEK met the requirements of the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization) to implement the IB-PYP, IB-MYP and IB-DP and experienced the pride of becoming a successful IB World School.
Işıkkent School is the one and only school in the Aegean Region and one of the eight schools in Turkey to implement all three IB Programmes (PYP – MYP – DP) from preschool to the end of high school.
